Crafted in Nepal, at our own bench
Since 2015
Nosvra was created around a simple idea: jewellery should feel personal. We bring together traditional craftsmanship and contemporary forms to create pieces made for everyday moments, celebrations, and the milestones that stay with us.
The workshop opened in Pulchowk in 2015 with three benches. Two of the goldsmiths who started with us are still here, and both trained in the older Newar tradition — hand-raising, chasing, granulation. The design side is newer and more contemporary, and the interesting work happens where the two argue with each other.
We make almost everything ourselves. Diamonds come with certificates; coloured stones are bought by our own buyer rather than through a chain of intermediaries. Where a piece is finished elsewhere, we say so on the product page.
How we work
Made at the bench
Nearly every piece in the catalogue is made in the Pulchowk workshop. You can ask to see yours being finished — most clients do not, but the offer is real.
Stones we have handled
Our buyer selects coloured stones directly. Diamonds are certified. If a stone has a treatment, it is written on the product page rather than left out.
Sized, adjusted, repaired
Resizing is free in the first year and charged at cost afterwards. Cleaning and polishing is free, permanently, whether you bought the piece here or not.
Bespoke without theatre
Commissions start with a conversation and a sketch, not a mood board. You see a wax or a render before anything is cast, and the quote does not move once agreed.
Design philosophy
Our pieces are shaped by the balance between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design. We work with forms that feel familiar yet current, creating jewellery that can become part of everyday life rather than being reserved for a single occasion.
In practice that means restraint. A signet with nothing engraved on it. A bezel set low enough that the stone lies flat. A hoop that is large without being heavy. The decisions are small, and they are most of the work.
